‘In Flanders Fields’ (IFF) event

In the Ascension weekend the time had come for the IFF event in Zonnebeke, Belgium. This mega was in my calendar for quite a while already and a room had been reserved in advance. My expectations were certainly satisfied: a beautiful and impressive environment and a mega-event that was perfectly organized!

On Friday, we left early enough to do some geocaching beforehand. We had selected a number of multi that commemorated the battle around Passendale. A beautiful series that brought us to different cemeteries, including the largest one, Tyne Cot. Hereinafter, a visit to the menenpoort was planned to also log the virtual and the trad which were there. the geocaching day ended with a tour of the impressive ComingWorldRememberMe land art facility and the new virtual.

In the evening, we visited the gig-night, with shows from Wh!plash and Bugsy Travels & The Ammo Boxes. Here, we met some familiar and unfamiliar geocachers, always nice.

Saturday was the day for the mega event. After signing the correct logbook, visiting the stores and getting the support package we ordered, the lab caches were on schedule. For us, the lab caches were something new, but we could log them all by combining forces!

After some discussions with other teams, we returned to the world of geocaches to visit some impressive places.

For us it was a very successful geocache weekend, in an impressive environment! It was certainly not the last time.
